Our ACF vision empowers us to engage and partner with various organizations to impact our generation and Africa. Recently, Members of ACF Atlanta Chapter in partnership with Arms of Care International had the privilege to impact two southern African countries during their medical mission trip.

Arms of Care International – a non-profit medical service organization that provides free medical service both locally in its Atlanta community and international has been successfully carrying out missions to various countries in Africa, Asia and South America in partnership with various organizations including African Christian Fellowship. Dr Obiekwe, who is the founder of Arms of Care International, is also a member of ACF Atlanta.

Various members from ACF Atlanta Chapter participated in this medical mission trip to Zimbabwe and Lesotho as a response to an appeal from the leadership of a local church in these countries. The team which were made up of Doctors, Nurses, pharmacist and other health and non health care professionals spent two weeks providing free medical services, health education, and eye glasses to the poor and the needy from September 18 through September 29, 2015.

By the grace of God; within two weeks, the medical mission accomplished the various task in Lesotho and Zimbabwe:

• Attended to 979 patients
• Medical Education, Medications, Eye exam/Glasses, Dental and Physical Check-ups
• 255 People gave their lives to God
• A new Computer literacy program was kicked off in Zimbabwe

There are so many other opportunities to join ACF or its partners in another medical mission trip. This team will be planning another mission outreach next year. There is a huge need for medical and non medical professional to join and be a blessing to other in Africa or here in America. The trips are normally between 1-2 weeks and you pay for your accommodation, airfare, food and transportation.
